Birmingham will increase their offer for Palermo striker Fabrizio Miccoli after the Premier League’s club initial £3.4m bid was rejected by the Serie A side.
According to the Daily Mirror, the Blues will now offer £4million for the 30-year-old who scored 19 goals last season.
Palermo are keen to hold onto the striker, but face a battle on their hands since he wants to play in the Premier League.

Difficult to be absolutely sure how solid this story is but if there is basis for the bid then you have to say that a player that can get 19 goals in Serie A, a league where it is notoriously difficult to get a high number of goals in, then he has to be a decent player. What worries me still is that we still have not purchased any wide men with pace yet which we will need to provide service for any new strikers we bring in.

£4m for a 30 year old striker unproven in the PL ? Maybe, but I wouldn't pay any more than £4m.
Think this story sound pretty true as the owner of Palermo has said we have made a bid but wants to keep him. Think he would be great in the premier league asBazzathebluenose said, Seria A is very hard to score goals in… and in a league where John Carrew can get into double figures, he'll could be on for 90+ goals a season!! Need wide men to supply the forward line so hopefully the next few weeks will bring some good news on that side of things!
