After 12 games without a victory Blues bleak season took a little respite with a win against the tykes.  After the previous weeks postponement this was a respite from the misery.

50 years ago this week

January 23rd 1960

Blues 2 Preston 1

Blues recovered from their cup exit to beat Preston in a game that helped Blues relegation fight no-end. The Blues improvement came with the introduction of 3 newcomers, Weston, Hume and Rudd.

25 years ago this week

January 23rd 1985

Norwich 1 Blues 1

Att: 11,883

After 18 days of inaction due to the snow Blues replayed their third round cup tie with 1st division Norwich at Carrow Road. A Billy Wright penalty took the tie back to St Andrews.
